The State convention of tbe Democratic party of North; Caroli na will me'et a 12 o'clock; in. on Wednesday, the 25tu of Jurie prox, in Metripolitan hall, in this city. The convention will nominate candidates fir the several offices of the executive department of the State, viz: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State,. Au ditor, Treasurer, Suprintendent of Poblic Instruction ?and Attoruey General; also a candidate for the office of associate justice of the Su preme Court- and it will elect fjr delegates and four alternate dele gates to the j Democratic National convention at Chicago, and two Presidential electors, and transact such other business as ' maj coco Defore it, 1 The several railroad companie of the Slate have agreed to sell at their various! depots to delegates return tickets ia and from Uale'gh, at reduced rales-and the only way provided for delegates to get the advantage of reduced fare is by the purchase of return tickets.
